Raleigh, N. C. Triangle MicroSystems, Inc, (TMS) a manufacturer of automated building and fuel control systems based in Raleigh, North Carolina, is planning a national marketing initiative for its fuel control division.

“We have completed the research and new product development for our advanced fuel control systems for gasoline pumps,” said George King, the President of TMS. “We are ready to roll out the new product to the market and we are in the process of exploring all of our strategic options, including mergers and capital market transactions,” he added.

TMS retained Investment Management & Insurance Advisors, Inc., an investment advisor to high tech companies, to assist with the capital market exploration.

“TMS has been in business since 1982,” said Thomas Vass, an investment advisor, “and has developed two main product lines from its own proprietary electronic control technology. The newest version of products for fuel pumps is a sustaining innovation that makes old pumps new again so that they can communicate with the new internet-based world of e-commerce.”

King noted that he is considering how all of his suppliers and vendors could possibly fit into the new growth strategy. “We have extensive relationships with key players in the entire fuel distribution network,” he said, “and we intend to include our partners in our growth plans.”

In addition to advanced fuel pump technology, the TMS technology platform is deployed in all forms of green energy initiatives that control the environment of commercial and industrial buildings. Their control technology is currently managing the largest roof top solar applications in North Carolina at the Fletcher Industrial Park, in Fletcher, North Carolina.

The E/M Notifier is an alarm controller which monitors four (4) independent digital contact closures, and provides individual email alarms for up to four (4) recipients each. The unit is a stand-alone device which can interface with any digital device, including contacts from any building automation and temperature control system. The system is available as a board for panel mounting, or a complete controller with power supplies and system routers.

The BASYX MC1 & BASYX MC2 are controllers specifically designed to control modular classroom units. The unit replaces the existing thermostat and is powered from the 24vac transformer in the HVAC unit. The MC communicates via our wireless data bus, and requires our MCI integrator panel for system operation. In addition, one (1) wireless bridge may be required for each cluster of modular units. When using the integrator panel, the system is maintained and monitored through a Windows based interface program, providing total system interrogation, programming and report generation through a direct connection, modem connection or intranet/internet interface module.

TMS has just completed the first of many wireless communications installations for modular classrooms in a North Carolina public school district.  This particular installation consists of two modular classrooms utilizing RF technology to monitor and maintain temperature in the classrooms.  This new application will decrease installation costs and will limit field wiring.  Now, field wiring will consist only of the control wiring for mechanical equipment and any required sensors for proper operation. Please contact our office for more information.

TMS has just completed the beta site installation of our new Supervisor/BACnet system.  The system was installed in a large commercial facility in Louisville, KY, and provides a BACnet Gateway for interfacing with their existing control system.  The Supervisor control system is a powerful system interface providing internet/intranet access along with increased programmability and e-mail alarm capabilities.  The BACnet Gateway option allows connection to any third party vendor with BACnet.  Lonworks and Modbus interfaces are soon to follow, allowing connection of the Basyx control system with a multitude of building management systems.  The final release of the product is expected during the 4th quarter 2008.  Contact our office for more details.
