TMS would like to welcome EMA, Inc. as our newest dealer.  EMA developed a national reputation within the drive industry by doing service, training and startups ranging from simple stand-alone fan and pump drives, to complex coordinated drive systems.  Now, EMA can provide full building automation, including everything from design to hardware to software with TMS’ Basyx Line.  You can visit their site at www.emainc.net for more information.

TMS dealer, Control Specialties of Asheville, is working with Vanir Energy, LLC on the installation of the world’s largest solar thermal installation for heating and cooling.  The first project is a 900,000 square foot facility called Fletcher Business Park, located in Fletcher, NC, which is where Vanir is headquartered.  This facility will produce 1.5 megawatts of power with 640 panels.   Control Specialties will be providing all the automation needed for this project, including chillers, boilers, and pumps.

Besides having a positive affect on the environment, Vanir will also have a positive affect on the job market:  Vanir Vice President Scott Clark said that “58 jobs will be

creat[ed] in less than 60 days.”*  Vanir will be investing $14 million in thermal heating and cooling in North Carolina, and TMS is excited to have a role in this project and upcoming projects.

The BASYX MC1 & BASYX MC2 are controllers specifically designed to control modular classroom units. The unit replaces the existing thermostat and is powered from the 24vac transformer in the HVAC unit. The MC communicates via our wireless data bus, and requires our MCI integrator panel for system operation. In addition, one (1) wireless bridge may be required for each cluster of modular units. When using the integrator panel, the system is maintained and monitored through a Windows based interface program, providing total system interrogation, programming and report generation through a direct connection, modem connection or intranet/internet interface module.
